Hand carved models using soft materials are then 3D-scanned with the resulting data converted to a 3D CAD models.

- Stratasys FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling - ABS)
- Objet (3D ‘printing’ in acrylic)

- Thermojet (wax block models)
- Alumide (Sintered aluminium / nylon - for mould tools / inserts)
